Telguard is evolving to 3G

 

Telguard doesn't believe in giving our customers the false choice between 2G and 3G. We feel a responsibility to our dealers to always offer products providing the longest possible lifespan. With the steady degradation of 2G networks underway, the only real option is to exclusively offer 3G-based products.

Starting in 2012, when a dealer chooses Telguard products they know they are choosing products that will be stable during the 2G Sunset and unaffected after it.



 

 

Switch to 3G for the price of 2G

Telguard has chosen to offer our 3G products for the same price of our former 2G products. We understand that the increased costs of 3G, if passed through in price, would encourage dealers to procrastinate their adoption of 3G. In turn, this would obviously encourage dealers to keep digging themselves in deeper as the 2G Sunset  approaches.  

By keeping our prices steady and not penalizing dealers for making the right choice in 3G, there is no reason not to switch to 3G to ensure the stability of their customers and RMR.


Product Availability

Telguard products will make a seamless transition to 3G. Telguard dealers won't need to alter their ordering, installation or support procedures because our 3G products are 100% feature-to-feature compatible with their 2G counterparts.



 However, Telguard's 3G products offer even more features than their 2G counterparts.
  • With 3G, all Telguard products support all alarm formats, including the TG-1B (formally restricted to Contact ID only).
  • With 3G, all Telguard products support two-way voice.
  • With 3G, all residential Telguard products can now be powered off of the panel.
  • With 3G, all commercial Telguard products can be configured for line security.
  • With 3G, all Telguard products support Telguard Interactive.
